Deputy Ministers of Culture, Members of Iran's Majlis, Representative of the Supreme Leader and the Friday Prayers Imam of Ardebil, the Spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, governors of Fars and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces and other national and provincial authorities. According to the News and Information Department of Imam Reza (A.S.) International Foundation for Culture& Arts, Ali Jannati, the Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance described Imam Reza (A.S.) Festival as the greatest and most spectacular cultural and artistic event in the Islamic Republic of Iran. "This festival is considered as one of the most distinguished manifestations of cultural diplomacy inside and outside our borders; a unique role paralleled by few other cultural and artistic events so far”, he added.
"This ritualistic event is a distinguished example of a cultural activity that has been performed with tactfulness and tranquility and is endowed with carefully designed structures. In addition to the special attention of the main chairman of the festival Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (A.S.), this is the fruit of the endless and sincere love and good faith of the founders and hosts of this festival over the last 12 years" he added.
"It is perfectly well known by those experienced in holding international festivals that holding such an annual event in 31 Iranian provinces and 75 countries abroad is a demanding and momentous task that, in addition to sufficient budgets and facilities, requires a lot of preparation and a large number of human resources. Nevertheless, this great cultural and artistic event has neither considerable budget and facilities nor a great number of full time clerks; yet the management of this festival has been developed in such a way to be able to hold such a great event over a year by benefiting from several participations within the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and other institutions and organizations and the enthusiasts of the Razavi culture; and to be honest, it has succeeded in this grave and worthy task. At least inside the country, there is no single cultural and artistic event of such a scope and results and in light of this, the festival is a valuable model and experience that must be cited and used in establishing other cultural and ritualistic events".
"I suggest that besides all cultural and artistic productions of the festival, the managerial achievements and experiences of the 12 years of holding ceremonies, be documented and published. I recommend that my colleagues in Imam Reza (A.S.) International Festival take major steps in this field so that the world can derive benefit from the new Razavi teachings and culture in its modern interactions and convey the fairness of this endless sea to the chest of all noble-minded people all over the world" he continued.
Minister of Culture reminded, "If we look further into the dimensions of this festival, we will realize that Imam Reza (A.S.) Festival has been the fountain-head of many cultural movements, events and institutionalizations over these years and that revival of many religious and national occasions and rituals has been achieved in light of this festival. One of the distinguished and outstanding features of this festival was its attention to the lifestyle of Imam Reza (A.S.) as one of the requests made by the Supreme Leader; a style which is hoped to become the standard style in the daily life of Iranians”.
Jannati noted that "Imam Reza (A.S.) Festival, today and after a decade, has grown into a stout tree the leaves of which have been spread all over Iran and almost everywhere in the world where enthusiasts and devotees of the Holy Household of the Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H.) and the eighth Imam abound; and in many countries, it has become a local and popular event. I hereby thank all the founders of this festival and those who have made enormous contributions, over these years, owing to their ardent passion for the threshold of this divinely protected Imam of ours, especially the anonymous humble persons that have been burdened with the bulk of the tasks of the festival all over the country”.
