“Under such conditions, drawing and relying on the rich Islamic and Iranian culture in our country, we can enlighten the world regarding this precious and valuable treasure by production of rich and fascinating works” Karandish Marvasti added.
He further said that “the programming of Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance is aimed at leading the way for production of cultural and artistic programs with the centrality of Islamic and Iranian culture in its content; hence, it intends to transmit this produced content to the society and its addressees”.
“The categories of culture and art are not separable; a concept will be transmitted to the addressee when the medium of art is used and the duty of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance is to pave the way for transmission of the rich Islamic and Iranian culture to people by virtue of this method” Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance emphasized.
He, then, added, “Our revolution was a revolution based on culture and was founded based on the pillars of religious teachings. Imam Khomeini (R.A.) also stressed the importance of culture and at present, one of the areas taken into great consideration by the Supreme Leader, is culture and cultural affairs”.
Karandish Marvasti expressed hope and stated further that “we should devout ourselves entirely to the expectations of the Supreme Leader regarding the development of cultural issues which are the foundations for all issues and we should take culture into account as a main principle in the society and know that all activities in different economic, political and social areas will bear fruit only when founded on culture”.
“In order to communicate with the world and transmit our religious and national values, we must primarily lead the way for consciousness raising and drawing attention, more than ever, to these important categories in our country” he continued.
